Love the Bargo's

The bar staff is fantastic! The food is good & the people (well, of course, most) are great to be around. Before the "nightlife" begins, it's almost like "Cheers" for those of us who remember! I've been around since this was Sneakers - & it's only gotten better as Bargo's!!!!!!! Thanks for being my local hang out!

In response to last review - you shouldn't have to give a big tip to get a good drink. If a bartender continues to give slow/lousy service because of a poor tip, they'll be lucky to get a tip at all. They should do there job and treat all patrons the same.
Good Bar, crappy atmoshpere and staff

I've tried the place a few times. I have no ill will or leanings for a competitor. It's one of those places that seems to do well with 'townies' and a regulars. So, they're obviously bringing in the bucks $. However, the atmosphere is kind of "Rednecks in Polo shirts." You can't quite get the HICK out of some people. Know what I mean?
Anyway, the service staff should dictate these things. In this case, low class, poor service, bad atmosphere.

Bad Bar Service all together. These other reviews werent lying. I personally know some of the bartenders and bouncers and its still hard to get a drink. I mean i understand that they get busy but come on!

This bar has a really nice atmosphere and always has a crowd. If the bar service is slow it's only because there are so many people trying to get a drink at the same time. I love this bar. The staff is very knowledgable and friendly. I think if people have real trouble getting a drink, it's probably because they were rude on a previous occasion and the bartenders tend to remember that sort of thing along with poor tips. Treat your bartender well and I'm pretty sure you won't have problems getting drunk at this bar.
good food, bad bar service

Great pizza, philly chicken sandwich and chicken tenders. All the food is great for that matter. The bar service is very slow, unless you personally know the bartenders and has been that way for years. Also, some old men play trivia there every night and act like they are smart answering all the repeat questions while hogging all the trivia boxes. They never play the weekly "topix" game because they are all new questions, and they do not know any of those. I feel bad for Bargos staff who has to deal with these guys, as they are embarrassing and need to get a life.

The door guy was an absolute pig. First of all he was nothing to look at. After we sat down he went behind the bar and kept making completely rude and vulgar suggestions.

Simply put - you can't get drunk at Bargos because you can't ever get a drink!!! Some of the worst bartenders in town - and they never remember what you're drinking - even if you're a regular. Nice bar - big, clean, good music, great food - just lousy bar service.
